LG introduced its 2026 Gram laptop lineup on Thursday, introducing Aerominum material in models that include the world's lightest 17-inch laptop with Nvidia RTX graphics.

The company set the debut for the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, which begins on Jan. 6.

The LG Gram Pro 17, model 17Z90UR, weighs 3.26 pounds and measures 0.6 inches thick, while packing a 17-inch IPS display with 2,560 by 1,600 resolution and Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 graphics with 8GB of GDDR7 memory.

LG developed Aerominum, a magnesium-aluminum alloy, to cut weight and boost structural strength in the new Gram series, with the material passing military-grade durability tests and providing 35 percent better scratch resistance in select models.

The lineup also covers the Gram Pro 16, model 16Z90U, which weighs 1,199 grams and carries a 16-inch OLED display at 2,880 by 1,800 resolution, along with a 77Wh battery.

Select 2026 Gram models run Intel Core Ultra series 2 processors and incorporate dual AI systems that blend on-device processing with cloud-based features, supporting Microsoft Copilot+ PC functions and LG's Gram Chat powered by the Exaone 3.5 small language model.

The devices add Gram Link for file sharing and screen mirroring across Android, iOS and LG's WebOS platforms, plus LG ThinQ for remote data security locks.

“The 2026 LG gram represents a new milestone in our decade-long pursuit of ultimate portability. With Aerominum, we have successfully solved the paradox of weight versus durability, creating a premium metallic look that is both incredibly light and exceptionally durable,” said Lee Choong-hwoan, head of the Display Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.

LG listed configurations for the Gram Pro 17 with up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of solid-state storage.

The Gram Pro AI 17 remains exclusive to North America.
