Ubisoft released a teaser trailer Thursday on the official Rainbow Six Siege X account showing a figure clad in a sneaking suit amid red smoke, accompanied by a codec-style call referencing the franchise.
The 15-second video ends with text announcing the Year 11 Roadmap Reveal on February 15 at 8 a.m. PT live on Twitch.
Rainbow Six Siege account replied to fan reactions with "Snake? Snake?! SNAAAAAAKE!" and a snake emoji.
Solid Snake joins as an attacker operator for Year 11 Season 1, set to launch in March on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
The operator draws from Snake's appearance in earlier Metal Gear Solid titles, complete with stealth gear, separate from prior cosmetic crossovers like Attack on Titan or The Boys.
Ubisoft confirmed the collaboration follows leaks from dataminer Shiny, who detailed the operator addition beyond skins.
Konami owns Metal Gear Solid, dormant on new releases since Hideo Kojima's 2015 departure, with its latest title Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater out since August 2025.
The teaser pairs Snake elements with a nod to Splinter Cell's Sam Fisher, who appeared as specialist Zero in Siege's 2020 Operation Shadow Legacy.
Year 11 follows Siege's recent rebrand to Rainbow Six Siege X with a major 10-year anniversary update.
