Google Confirms Android 17 Beta 1 Will Launch Soon

Google has confirmed that Android 17 Beta 1 will launch soon.
The confirmation came on February 10, 2026, immediately after the company pushed out Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2.1, which it identified as the last build in the current Android 16 cycle.
Users with Pixel devices who remain enrolled in the Android Beta Program and have installed the Android 16 QPR3 Beta 2.1 update will receive Android 17 Beta 1 automatically when it becomes available.
Google said:
"Android 17 Beta 1 will kick off soon."
The beta version builds on top of the Android 16 QPR platform release and includes the latest bug fixes and improvements to stability and performance.
Google is skipping the developer preview phase that has preceded recent major Android releases and moving straight into public beta testing with Android 17.
Beta program participants will not be able to opt out of the program without a data wipe until the Android 17 beta cycle ends in June 2026.
The stable release of Android 17 is expected around that same time in mid-2026.
Samsung has confirmed that its next major software platform One UI 9 will be based on Android 17News.
