Honor Launches Magic V6: World's Thinnest Foldable with 6,660mAh Battery Breakthrough

Honor took the stage at Mobile World Congress 2026 to launch the Magic V6, a foldable smartphone that pushes boundaries in slim design and battery capacity.
The Magic V6 measures 8.75mm thick when closed. Honor built the device with reinforced structural integrity and an advanced hinge architecture for long-term reliability.
The all-new foldable carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
Battery Technology in Honor Magic V6
Honor equipped the Magic V6 with a 6,660mAh battery using fifth-generation silicon-carbon material. This technology achieves 25% silicon content for higher energy density in a slim form. The company partnered with ATL to develop this battery, which fits into one of the thinnest foldables available. The typical capacity stands at 6,660mAh, while the rated capacity is 6,510mAh.
Honor also showcased its Silicon-carbon Blade Battery with 32% silicon content and over 900 Wh/L density during the event. This new battery aims to enable foldables with capacities exceeding 7,000mAh in future models.
Display Features of Honor Magic V6
The Magic V6 includes dual LTPO 2.0 screens. The external display measures 6.52 inches, and the inner unfolded screen spans 7.95 inches. Both support adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz. Peak brightness reaches 6,000 nits on the outer screen and 5,000 nits on the inner for HDR content.
The inner display uses ultra-thin flexible glass certified by SGS for minimized crease. This reduces crease depth by 44% compared to prior generations. A silicon nitride-based anti-reflection layer drops reflectivity to 1.5%. Features like 4320Hz PWM dimming and AI Defocus Display improve eye comfort during extended sessions.
AI Capabilities and Productivity in Honor Magic V6
The Magic V6 leverages AI for multitasking, content creation, and communication on its unfolded display. Cross-ecosystem tools allow integration with other devices, including Apple's ecosystem.
James Li, CEO of HONOR, stated:
“With Human-centric as our lighthouse, we navigate the growth of AI through the two beams of IQ and EQ, bringing three forms of intelligence together. We are exploring the new paradigm of AI devices with Alpha Phone; hosting the new paradigm of AI ecosystem with Alpha Store; and building the new paradigm of a silicon-carbon civilization with Alpha Lab. With three waves of the Alpha Plan, we now have all the components in place and we are driving this journey at full warp speed.”
Performance Specifications for Honor Magic V6
Honor powered the Magic V6 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. An advanced vapor chamber handles cooling for sustained performance in gaming and heavy tasks.
Honor plans to release the Magic V6 in select markets during the second half of 2026. Regional details, configurations, colors, and pricing will follow local announcements.
