McDonald’s Launches 2 New Adult Meals with 5 New Menu Items

A limited-time promotion begins March 31 and centers on the on-screen rivalry between K-pop girl group HUNTR/X and boy band the Saja Boys, offering customers a chance to pick a side through themed food and collectibles.
The collaboration draws directly from the film’s plot and South Korean cultural elements. “KPop Demon Hunters,” released in June 2025 and produced by Sony Pictures Animation, follows HUNTR/X as they balance pop stardom with secret demon-hunting duties while facing the Saja Boys, a rival group revealed as demons in disguise.
That movie earned two Academy Awards at the 2026 Oscars for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, and its soundtrack has driven significant chart success.
McDonald’s official announcement positions the meals as an extension of the film’s fan engagement. Alyssa Buetikofer, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald’s, said in the statement,
“Everything we do at McDonald’s is for the fans, and no one can relate to that more than Netflix and KPop Demon Hunters. Big things happen when you bring two massive fandoms together, and this partnership was a natural fit. We found authentic ways to unite our iconic worlds inviting HUNTR/X and Saja Boys fans into the rivalry in ways that feel true to the film and unmistakably McDonald’s.”
The Saja Boys Breakfast Meal channels the group’s heartthrob image with a Spicy Saja McMuffin a Sausage McMuffin with Egg topped with a peppery Spicy Saja Sauce inspired by the fire of character Gwi-Ma plus standard hash browns and a small soft drink.
The HUNTR/X Meal targets the rest of the day with 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, a medium soft drink, Ramyeon McShaker Fries World Famous Fries tossed in a soy garlic sesame and spice seasoning inside the McShaker bag, Hunter Sauce a sweet chili option, and Demon Sauce a bold purple mustard with heat and tang.

Those five items the Spicy Saja McMuffin, Ramyeon McShaker Fries, Hunter Sauce, Demon Sauce, and a new Derpy McFlurry represent the core menu additions. The Derpy McFlurry blends vanilla soft serve with berry popping pearls and wild berry sauce and is available separately as well as part of the promotion.
Every meal purchase includes a collectible card pack containing one exclusive photocard featuring either HUNTR/X or the Saja Boys plus a Derpy access card.
Customers scan the QR code on the access card inside the McDonald’s app and enter the unique code by April 26 to unlock first-access digital content and a special reveal tied to the film’s “Battle for the Fans.”
Marian Lee, chief marketing officer at Netflix, stated in the announcement:
“KPop Demon Hunters has ignited an incredibly passionate global fandom, and we’re always looking for authentic ways to bring fans deeper into the worlds they love. With McDonald’s, we were able to turn the rivalry between The Saja Boys and HUNTR/X into something fans can actually experience, drawing inspiration from Korean culture and food traditions that sit at the heart of the film. From Ramyeon McShaker Fries to Demon sauces paired with Soda Pop, every detail was designed to feel like it could have come straight out of a scene in the movie.”
The promotion mirrors McDonald’s recent pattern of adult-oriented collectible meals, following earlier tie-ins such as the McDonaldland Meal and Grinch-themed offerings.
It also continues the chain’s history of K-pop collaborations, including the 2021 BTS meal.
