Xiaomi 18 Pro India Release Leaked for December with Rear Display Upgrade
Xiaomi plans to launch three smartphone lineups in India between September and December 2026, according to details shared on X by tech tipster Abhishek Yadav. The report indicates that the flagship Xiaomi 18 Pro will arrive in December, featuring an enlarged secondary screen built into the back panel.
The leak outlines three separate product rollouts across Xiaomi and Redmi brands over the coming months.

The budget-focused Redmi 17 lineup includes 4G and 5G models.
Both devices share a 6.9-inch HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50-megapixel primary camera, and a 7,500mAh battery with 45W fast charging. The 5G variant carries a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, and the 4G model runs on MediaTek's Helio G91-Ultra chip.
Xiaomi intends to follow the budget models with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro series between September 18 and September 20.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro features a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED panel running at 120Hz, a Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 chipset, and a 9,000mAh battery with 67W charging support.
The release comes shortly after the base Redmi Note 17 arrived in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 24,999 with an 8,000mAh battery.
The flagship Xiaomi 18 Pro series represents the final release on the leaked timeline, scheduled for a late-year arrival.

Industry leaks state that the Xiaomi 18 Pro expands the secondary rear screen to 4 inches diagonally, up from the 2.7-inch panel on previous models.
The rear display provides a preview window for selfies taken with the primary cameras, alongside quick access to media controls, system widgets, and incoming notifications.
Under the hood, the device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor backed by a 7,000mAh battery. The camera array incorporates two 200-megapixel sensors alongside a 50-megapixel lens.
Hardware features include a dedicated side button for artificial intelligence functions, including real-time audio translation and text summarization.
Xiaomi skipped releasing the Xiaomi 17 Pro in India during the previous generation, offering only the standard Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra to Indian buyers.
Releasing the Xiaomi 18 Pro in December changes that distribution pattern for the market.
