Honor Magic V6 Foldable Launches in China
Honor released the Magic V6 foldable smartphone in China on March 10, 2026, marking the device's domestic market entry following its global unveiling at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on March 1.
The phone integrates Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which operates on a 3nm process with a peak clock speed of 4.6GHz across an eight-core configuration.
This chipset pairs with an advanced vapor chamber cooling system to handle intensive tasks such as gaming and multitasking.
The Magic V6 measures 8.75mm thick when folded and 4.0mm when unfolded in its Snowy White variant, weighing 219 grams.
It employs Honor's Luban Shield hinge constructed from 2800MPa special shield steel, processed with aerospace-grade precision for enhanced durability against impacts.
The device achieves IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, capable of withstanding submersion up to 4 meters deep through AI intelligent encapsulation and assembly precision of 0.15mm.
Color options include Red Rabbit Red, Sunrise Gold, Snowy White, and Velvet Black, with a luxurious velvet-textured eco-friendly leather material.
Display and Visual Performance
Dual LTPO 2.0 screens define the Magic V6's visuals. The inner 7.95-inch display offers a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate, peak brightness of 5000 nits, 4320Hz PWM dimming, and a reflectivity reduced to 1.5% via a 5600-layer silicon nitride high-precision coating.
It incorporates ultra-tough UTG glass certified by SGS for minimal crease perception and features 10x drop resistance, 15x scratch resistance, and 3x wear resistance through new King Kong Giant Rhino glass. The outer 6.52-inch screen mirrors these traits with a peak brightness of 6000 nits.
Both screens support stylus input and always-on display functionality. The displays hold certifications from TÜV Rheinland for eye protection, including natural light simulation, AI sleep aid, and hardware-level low blue light filtering.
Battery and Charging Capabilities
Honor equipped the Magic V6 with a Qinghai Lake blade battery, delivering a 7150mAh capacity in the 16GB RAM + 1TB storage model and 6850mAh in other configurations.
This fifth-generation silicon-carbon battery achieves a 32% silicon content and energy density of 985Wh/L, with single-layer stacking at 0.15mm thickness.
It secures TÜV Rheinland certification for 24-hour inner screen battery life. Charging options consist of 80W wired super fast charging using the included 120W Honor Magic Cube all-in-one GaN charger, compatible with multiple brands, and 66W wireless super fast charging via a separately purchased charger. Vehicle fast charging supports over 100 car models.
Honor showcased the screen's durability at the launch event by using a power drill on it, claiming it stayed intact.
Honor claims that the Magic V6 Foldable can be used without a protective case for up to 36 months without showing any visible wear and tear.
Camera System
The rear camera array on the Magic V6 includes a 64-megapixel ultra-night telephoto lens with a periscope design, 1/2-inch sensor, and CIPA 6.5 professional anti-shake rating, supporting 1x to 10x zoom.
It introduces AI movie color chasing and an AI color engine for accurate color reproduction. Night mode utilizes AI cloud enhancement technology alongside AI bokeh simulation and skin texture optimization.
Performance and Software Features
Running MagicOS 10, the Magic V6 incorporates AI meeting advisor for end-to-end conference solutions, including intelligent reminders, meeting minutes, multi-language real-time transcription, and YOYO photo-to-document conversion.
It enables ultra-smooth three-screen multitasking via a Vulkan graphics engine and unified multi-task rendering.
Connectivity extends to Apple ecosystem integration, allowing Mac extended screens, Apple Watch notification sharing, iPhone hotspot relay, AirPods compatibility, and iCloud data synchronization.
The 16GB + 1TB variant supports Beidou satellite messaging in mainland China upon activation. Honor's Hongyan communication covers 25 5G bands, over 1000 operators, and more than 200 countries or regions.
Pricing and Availability
The Magic V6 starts at 8999 yuan for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, equivalent to approximately $1250.
The 12GB + 512GB model prices at 9999 yuan, while the 16GB + 512GB option costs 10999 yuan. Sales began in China immediately following the launch.
