Honor unveils Choice Codeler Headphones 2 with 57dB ANC and up to 70-hour battery life
Honor has expanded its audio lineup with the launch of the Honor Choice Codeler Headphones 2, introducing upgraded active noise cancellation and extended battery life as part of a broader ecosystem announcement in China.
The new over-ear headphones were unveiled during the company’s latest product event alongside laptops and accessories. According to details shared during the launch and confirmed by third-party reporting, the headphones are priced at 399 yuan, or roughly $58, positioning them firmly in the budget to mid-range segment.
The headline feature is active noise cancellation rated at up to 57dB, with an average reduction closer to 35dB in real-world use. Honor says the system can filter out as much as 99.9 percent of ambient noise and includes adaptive ANC that adjusts based on surrounding conditions.
The company has also emphasized battery performance. The Codeler Headphones 2 are rated for up to 70 hours of playback without noise cancellation and about 50 hours with ANC enabled. A quick-charge feature delivers roughly eight hours of listening from a 10-minute charge, according to the product specifications.
Honor describes the headphones as built for extended use cases including travel, gaming and daily listening, stating that the design is intended to “eliminate up to 99.9% of ambient noise” and support long sessions without frequent charging.
The headphones use 40mm dynamic drivers with neodymium magnets and a large rear acoustic chamber, a configuration aimed at improving bass response and clarity. They are certified for Hi-Res Audio in both wired and wireless modes and support Sony’s LDAC codec for higher bitrate streaming up to 24-bit and 96kHz.
Honor has also added spatial audio with head tracking, powered by an onboard gyroscope. The system offers both static and dynamic modes, allowing the soundstage to remain fixed or adjust based on head movement. Several EQ presets including bass boost and treble boost are included for customization.
A low-latency gaming mode is built in, with Honor claiming up to a 60 percent reduction in audio delay when enabled. The headphones also feature Bluetooth 6.0, dual-device pairing and a 3.5mm wired option for zero-latency playback.
The physical design focuses on comfort and portability, with memory foam ear cushions, protein leather covering and a foldable frame. Honor says the earcups are angled ergonomically and supported by a flexible metal headband with rotating hinges for more even pressure distribution.
The product launches in Elegant Black and Camellia Gold color options and includes a triple-microphone system for calls with noise reduction.
Honor’s Choice branding sits within its broader accessory ecosystem, which includes earbuds, keyboards and tablets aimed at everyday and entry-level users. Previous products in the lineup have focused on balancing cost and feature sets such as ANC and long battery life, often undercutting competitors on price.
The introduction of higher-rated ANC and spatial audio at this price point reflects ongoing competition in the budget headphone segment, where brands are adding features traditionally reserved for premium models in an effort to capture a wider user base without raising prices significantly.
