boAt Launches Sailor Nav 4G Smartwatch with Google Maps Tracking for Kids
boAt released its new Kid Series hardware lineup in India, entering the children's lifestyle technology market. The flagship device, the Sailor Nav 4G smartwatch, gives parents real-time location tracking powered by Google Maps. The company set the smartwatch price at 6,499 rupees.
The smartwatch operates independently through a built-in 4G SIM slot, removing the need for a child to carry a smartphone. It features a 1.44-inch HD touchscreen alongside a 2-megapixel front camera for two-way voice and video calls.
Location tracking combines five-point satellite positioning with customizable geo-fencing features. Parents set up safe zone boundaries around places like schools or parks in the app, receiving instant phone alerts whenever the child enters or exits those locations.
An emergency SOS button allows children to send urgent location alerts to selected family contacts instantly. The smartwatch includes an Audio Chat feature, letting children send short voice messages to other Sailor Nav watch owners.

Parents manage device functions using the dedicated boAt Sailor mobile application. Built-in controls include Class Mode to turn off call notifications during school, Stranger Call Protection to block unapproved incoming numbers, and toggles to disable the dial pad, video chat, or power-off functions.
Daily activity tracking includes a step counter, alongside standard utilities like an alarm, stopwatch, calculator, and offline games. The device comes in two color choices: Fairy Pink and Sky Blue.
Along with the smartwatch, boAt launched the Sailor Play wireless headphones designed specifically for children, priced at 1,499 rupees.
The headphones feature an 85-decibel volume limiter to protect young ears during long listening sessions. They include 40-millimeter dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, a built-in microphone for calls, and up to 60 hours of playback time via USB Type-C charging.
