Xiaomi Launches Redmi K100 Pro Series with 9,070mAh Battery and 200MP Camera

Xiaomi launched the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max in China on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Both devices feature a 200-megapixel primary camera, 185Hz refresh rate displays, and large silicon-carbon batteries.

Sales started immediately through official store channels in China following the announcement. Xiaomi has not confirmed release dates or pricing for markets outside China.

The Redmi K100 Pro Max uses Qualcomm's 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Xiaomi paired the chip with a dedicated D2 graphics chip and a 6,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system to manage thermals.

The standard Redmi K100 Pro runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series processor. Both models support up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage on the Pro Max.

The K100 Pro Max houses a 9,070mAh battery. The K100 Pro includes an 8,580mAh battery. Both models support 100W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, 27W wired reverse charging, and 22.5W wireless reverse charging.

Xiaomi integrated its Surge P3, Surge G2, and Surge T1+ power management chips to control energy transfer and battery health. The devices also support bypass charging during extended gaming sessions.

The K100 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen with 2608 x 1200 resolution. The K100 Pro comes with a 6.59-inch OLED display with 2510 x 1156 resolution.

Both displays reach a maximum refresh rate of 185Hz and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The screens support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and a 4,800Hz instant touch sampling rate.

A 200-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization serves as the main rear camera on both phones. The K100 Pro Max adds a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera.

The standard Pro model uses a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 60x digital zoom and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The Pro Max records video up to 8K at 30 frames per second, whereas the Pro records up to 4K at 60 frames per second.

Additional features include IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors, and Bose-tuned dual speakers. Both phones ship with HyperOS 3.0 built on Android 16.

Writing on Weibo before the launch, Xiaomi President Lu Weibing outlined the position of both devices in the market.

He said:

"The K100 Pro is an all-round flagship in the 4,000 yuan segment without major compromises, while the K100 Pro Max aims to set a new benchmark for gaming experiences."

The Redmi K100 Pro starts at a promotional launch price of CNY 3,699 (roughly $520) for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with retail pricing set at CNY 3,999. Higher options reach CNY 4,699 for 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The Redmi K100 Pro Max starts at a promotional launch price of CNY 4,199 (roughly $590) for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, with retail pricing set at CNY 4,499. The top variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage carries a retail price of CNY 5,999.
